About Argolinx and the Information We Collect

Argolinx is an internet social networking service. When you register for Argolinx, you provide us with certain "Personal Information", such as your name, your email address, your address, and other personal or preference information. As part of the registration process, each Argolinx Member profile is created, through which your Member Information will be disclosed to the other Members. The amount of information that is disclosed will depend on the relationship between the other Members and yourself. Argolinx is not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to disclose or for the misuse by other members of such information. We also use cookies to keep track of your activities on the Web Site and enhance your experience on the Web Site. We use session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. Members must use a valid email for submission verification of blogs, forum postings, etc. These emails are automatically generated and may contain notice of important privacy and terms of service modifications, advertisements, purchases, sales and shipping confirmations, special offers and promotional codes, newsletters and advertisements. Registration constitutes our users and members agreement to receive these emails. Argolinx does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication. By registering with Argolinx you are officially opting in to receive emails and newsletters from Argolinx. Argolinx does not permit 3rd parties to contact our members except in connection with third party advertisers and merchants for the confirmation of sales on shipping of orders. Members making purchase from our 3rd party partners will receive emails concerning their activity with that 3rd party partner directly from that third party.

Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily post public information to Blogs, Message Boards, or any other Public Forums that that information can be accessed by the public and can in turn be used by those people to send you unsolicited communications.

Argolinx make every effort to cloak your email address from robot and spiders, but cannot and cannot guarantee the effectiveness of our effort. Argolinx is hereby indemnified against any issues that arise out of the usage and posting of our members email addresses by the members on the Argolinx website.

Invite a Friend

If a Member elects to use our "Invite" feature to invite a friend to become a Member of Argolinx, we ask them for the friend's email address. Argolinx will automatically send the friend an email inviting them to join the site. Argolinx stores this email address for the purpose of automatically adding the respondent to the friends list of the Member sending the invitation, and also to send reminders of the invitation. Argolinx does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations and invitation reminders.

Changing or Removing Information

Access and control over most personal information on Argolinx is readily available through the profile editing tools. Information will be updated immediately. Members who wish to deactivate their Argolinx account may do so by contacting Argolinx. Removed information may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time but will not be generally available to other Members of Argolinx.

Security

The Argolinx account of every Member is password-protected. Argolinx takes appropriate precautions to protect our Members' information. Your account information is located on a secured server behind a firewall. Unfortunately, perfect security does not exist on the Internet, and therefore, Argolinx makes no representations or warranties with regard to the sufficiency of these security measures. Argolinx shall not be responsible for any damages that result from a lapse in compliance with this Privacy Policy because of a security breach, technical malfunction or similar problem. Always be careful and responsible regarding your personal information.
